Can't Quit The Vintage Rugs

Rugs started out as a toughie for me. They act low profile, but they’re all colors and patterns and textures, and they 100% have the ability, nay, power to completely command the room. Looking at them online, you see their characteristics and imagine they’ll take over any space. BUT…

… BUT it turns out rugs are far more chill than that. After fretting for far too long about my desired minimal/contemporary-with-a-splash-of-cheekiness aesthetic being disrupted by a cool vintage rug, I realized there are tons of examples in my own Pinterest archives of these two playing well with each other. Apparently, not only can they tie a whole room together, they’re aces at visually subverting expectations and adding a little cheek.

Thus emboldened, I promptly open 27 tabs of favorite rugs I had bookmarked from Revival Rugs. Revival feels like an insider, if you don’t know, now you know secret resource for the vintage rugs of your dreams. I quickly found Fiorentina, whose muddy pinks and greens were perfect for grounding the master bedroom, and Jordane, which was worthy of living as a tapestry but which looks so perfect in Yucca’s golden loft space.
