Kitchen Favorites Round Up

Yes, our destinations are vacation rentals. No, we don’t see any reason why that fact would mean we skimp on details. We love cooking, and being in a kitchen that’s as functional and comfortable as it is beautiful is a specific pleasure. And because we believe that all spaces, especially ones you rest and recharge in, should celebrate the art of living well, we partnered with some premium brands to outfit our kitchen.

1. really nice knives

Global knives are sharp like angry samurai lasers, and we’ve got a clock of these top-notch blades. Cook a 3-course meal, or slice some citrus for your tequila— whatever makes you feel alive.

2. appliances you want to look at (& USE)

I keep talking about how sexy Café Appliances are, but let’s not skip past the fact that they’re also SO nice to use. Like this smokeshow of a fridge also has a Keurig K-Cup brewing system. Perks!

3. Ceramics

Handmade ceramics that look like a million bucks, but won’t give you a heart attack if you break one. Libbey’s Prologue line of handmade tableware from Cambodian artisans never doesn’t get a compliment.

4. A faucet with some drama

This 26” tall faucet from Signature is anything but understated, and its sassy confidence really sticks out in a kitchen. That, and its multiple hoses and spigots make you feel like you could beat the clock in an Iron Chef competition.

5. smart details

Hear me out as I wax poetic about this Simplehuman soap dispenser: it’s automatic, which seemed frivolous AF at first. Then? Then I had to my hands which were sticky and grubby with cooking remnants. The soap knew, and it had my back. I’m converted, you will be too.
